Fine Art Print FAQs
Created 2005. Generative art. "Time slices" are graphical music scores derived from short visual music works (abstract animations). They are essentially slit-scan images, showing how a scan line of a video evolves over time. In the finished animations the sound score sonifies the time slice. The time slice shows how the animation unfolds, with a single image representing time (just like a traditional music score). It's an odd circuitous process, sound and image riffing back and forth, each a metaphor for the other. It's jazz in 4D. Hear the colors. Listen with your eyes.
