From the Artist... In Brian Evans's artwork sound waves of music are seen as light waves of color. He builds computer models of sounds or musical structure and visualizes the models. Through data mapping he constructs images from the raw materials of musical notes, chords, timbres, and the complex fractal structure of musical form. His artworks and animations have been exhibited and screened internationally, from the High Museum in Atlanta, Georgia to Disney Hall in Los Angeles, California, from Rome, Italy (Biblioteca Angelica Gallery) to Sydney, Australia (Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery). Evans invites the viewer to hear the colors and listen with their eyes.
