Speaker Jill
Jill Brandenburg is an artist who specializes in abstract pop art. Jill’s vision of a career in art began in elementary school with a cartoon strip in her school paper, and finally came to fruition after earning an Applied Arts Degree in 1991 and spending the next 20+ years as a graphic designer. After surviving breast cancer, Jill began creating art for herself; using her years in graphic design to create her unique style of abstract pop art.Breaking apart logos and icons from pop culture and incorporating them into her abstract paintings began as a rebellion against all the years of feeling constrained in the corporate design world – but has since become her technique that she uses to invoke nostalgia and spotlight the power of marketing and advertising in her artwork.Known as Speaker Jill across social media; she has had her artwork exhibited in Downtown Dallas, Times Square in New York City, Liverpool, Bali, and Beijing.
