Miriam Montenegro is a contemporary German artist known for her vibrant, expressive visual language. With a background in fashion design, she now dedicates her practice to capturing the light and essence of the moment in her paintings.

After more than 25 years as a designer in the international fashion industry, Montenegro has worked as a full-time artist since 2019. Her style reduces motifs to their essentials, creating a tension between the representational and the abstract. Her work is characterized by dynamic, balanced arrangements and vital color combinations. She often experiments with acrylic, ink, and stencils, and incorporates recycled materials into her art.

Montenegro's work has been presented in over 25 solo exhibitions and around 70 group exhibitions internationally. Her paintings are held in private and corporate collections across Europe, North America, and Asia.
