Clara Berta
Clara is a passionate, award-winning abstract artist of Hungarian heritage. Her dynamic, abstract paintings have been exhibited in the US and collected worldwide. Her art has also been featured in Showtime’s Ray Donovan (2017), CBS’s Two Broke Girls (2017), Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles (2014), Disney’s You Again (2009), Deepak Chopra’s The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success (2007), and in the LA Weekly (2003).
Clara discovered her love of painting during her studies in Psychology from Antioch University. At first, art was simply a creative outlet which was set aside after she married. However, after Clara lost her husband she returned to painting as a form of therapy. The experience was so healing and rewarding that Clara dedicated herself to art full-time.
Clara studied advanced composition and technique at the Santa Reparata School of Art in Florence, Italy as well as printmaking in the US. In 2015, Clara opened BertaArt Studio Gallery in Downtown Los Angeles, now a popular stop on the Downtown LA Art Walk. Her current series, Minimalism, is influenced by the “less is more” philosophy of renowned twentieth-century German architect, Mies van der Rohe.
From the Artist... I am a contemporary painter with a passion for creating abstract fine art that imparts a sense of serenity to promote healing and wellness for both the observer and myself. My mission is to share my art with people who are on a journey to improve their overall well being.
