Amanda works with non-representational, digital imagery. She creates original, abstract digital photographs and prints them on non-traditional surfaces like aluminum and acrylic. Her work is curious, meditative and sublime.

From the Artist... I am a visual artist working with digital photography and image manipulation. I work in the abstract realm because it naturally allows for imagination, emotion, and suggestion. I utilize digital image manipulation techniques to build intimacy between myself and my subject as I work through the creative process.

I enjoy the process of interacting with the image at multiple levels - first in image capture, then in image manipulation. The creative process becomes more intimate to me as I am involved in transforming the initial image into something completely new. This allows me to create as an artist, as well as capture as a photographer.
