Last week, Loupe Art Curator Gabriella Silvagnoli visited Galerie LISABEL in Montréal to discover more about the artist’s unique space and expansive body of work. She was welcomed by Lisabel and her husband and managing partner, Glenn Miller, for a tour of the gallery and event space. Their conversation explored Lisabel’s artistic vision, her evolving practice, and the exciting possibilities ahead through her partnership with Loupe Art.

For those who have not yet encountered her work, Lisabel is unlike any other artist in the contemporary art world. Working in an abstract and semi-figurative style, her pieces are defined by their richness of color and dynamic movement.

In the 90s, Lisabel developed a proprietary technique using composite polymer materials, the same materials used in aerospace manufacturing, to create paintings that are luminous, textured, and completely impossible to reproduce.

Her engineering background informs a uniquely balanced perspective, and her signature vibrant style is unmistakable across all her works.

“I provoke a sense of calm and letting go, in my collector, that they often don’t even realize they need,” Lisbel says.

A remarkably prolific artist, Lisabel has created more than 5,000 works, with thousands sold to collectors across some 30 countries, establishing a truly global presence for her practice. It is no surprise, then, that her gallery space, covered in art from floor to ceiling, is an absolute delight for the eyes.

Galerie LISABEL itself is a destination, a single-artist private gallery that Glenn describes as "art beyond the walls," designed to feel less like a traditional gallery and more like a destination. The gallery is also open for event rentals where Lisabel's art serves as an energizing backdrop for an unforgettable evening. The space will soon expand into a new location, promising an even bigger and more ambitious vision.

Lisabel, a longtime visionary in the art on screen space, has partnered with Loupe to bring her work to global screens. Her work is also now viewable through the newly launched LG Gallery+ app on LG TVs.

“The works, when viewed on screen, take on new life, creating a sense of movement and energy for the viewer,” says Gabriella. This connection is central to Lisabel’s practice, which is rooted in the idea that art can open the mind, awaken something within us, and create a sense of freedom and peace. “They are like fireworks, creating countless emotions,” says Lisabel.

You can discover more of Lisabel’s work on screen through Loupe on the LG Gallery+ app, available on LG TVs. Her pieces can be found within the Winding Down and Yoga and Zen collections on the Loupe shelf.

Spending time with Lisabel and Glenn was a genuine pleasure. There is so much exciting potential in our collaboration, and we look forward to sharing more as it takes shape.
