Whitney Alyssa
Whitney Alyssa is a Bay Area mixed-media artist whose sewn abstract landscapes occupy a singular space where painting, collage, and textile craft converge into works that feel at once layered and serene.
Rooted in a decade of experience in the bridal industry following her studies in fashion at SCAD, Whitney brings a couture-level attention to detail and finish to every piece she makes. Her process begins with loose, fluid foundations in acrylic and watercolor, then builds through the tearing and layering of hand-painted papers — some adorned with metallic leaf — before being unified through machine stitching. Each material choice is deliberate. Her intention is to create work that is quiet yet alive, inviting viewers to slow down and connect with something personal.
Whitney has exhibited her work at the Filoli Art Walk and built a devoted international collector base through her independent studio practice. Her most recent body of work, the Continuum Collection, features twelve new originals exploring extension, restraint, and movement. She also offers custom commissions, bringing her distinctive voice to personally meaningful pieces for collectors worldwide.
