Nahila Campos
Nahila Campos is a Venezuelan-born, Miami-based multidisciplinary artist whose work spans painting, sculpture, collage, and installation, shaped by a foundational training in architecture.
Born in Caracas in 1957, Campos holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Architecture from the Universidad Central de Venezuela, with her graduate research focused on art as a humanizing element in architecture. She furthered her practice through fine arts studies in Caracas and curatorial studies at the NODE Center for Curatorial Studies in Berlin. These dual foundations — spatial design and visual art — are central to her work, which uses the concept of the city as both subject and structure. Her practice explores the relationship between internal and external perspectives, examining how built environments shape individual and collective behavior. Through layered collages and installations, she constructs man-made scenarios that probe memory, time, and the quiet complexities of everyday life.
Campos has exhibited widely across the United States, Latin America, and Europe, with notable presentations at the Museum of Latin American Art (Los Angeles), the Orlando Museum of Art, the Coral Gables Museum, and recurring participation in Miami's Pinta Art Fair. She maintains an active studio in Wynwood, Miami.
