Maria Belen Irusta
María Belén Irusta is an Argentine interdisciplinary artist based in Santa Cruz, California, whose work weaves together painting, collage, photography, and video into richly layered emotional landscapes.
Trained at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario's School of Fine Arts and Cabrillo College, Irusta works across both traditional and digital media with a spirit of continuous exploration. Her practice is driven by a desire to give form to the interior life — drawing on personal memory, dreams, nature, astronomy, and a deep attentiveness to the female experience. She seeks not just to express, but to open a space for dialogue, inviting viewers to feel, reflect, and imagine alongside her work.
Irusta has exhibited widely in both Argentina and the United States. Her solo exhibition Handle with Care (2019) was held at Concrete Rose Salón in Santa Cruz, CA. She has also been a guest artist in exhibitions organized by the Universidad Nacional de Rosario, the Historical Center of Rosario, and the Argentine National Library Dr. Juan Alvarez. Her work has appeared in literary and arts publications across the U.S.
