Lynda Stevens
Lynda Stevens began her artistic journey with doodling, using bright colored pencils to create vibrant, abstract compositions. Her early passion for patterns and color laid the foundation for a career marked by continuous exploration of different media and themes.
Seeking to expand her skills, she attended courses that introduced her to life drawing, painting, etching, and ceramics. This led to an experimental phase where she incorporated found objects like broken glass, metal foil, and melted wax into her work. These materials helped create textured, three-dimensional inner landscapes, often using reflective and translucent layers to depict imprinted memories.
Stevens' work is guided by a process of psychic automatism, exploring the contrast between order and chaos. Today, she has returned to painting, using acrylic and pigment splatter and pour techniques to create abstract compositions that capture the mystery and majesty of cosmic forces and deep space.
