Lisabel
Lisabel Filiatrault (LISABEL) is a Montreal-born abstract and semi-figurative painter whose work is defined by a pioneering polymer and composite material technique she developed in 1990 — one that remains unreplicated to this day.
Drawing from a background in mechanical engineering, Lisabel fuses science and artistry to produce works of extraordinary texture, rich color, and vibrant dynamism. Her purpose is to evoke feelings of freedom, well-being, and peace — guiding viewers toward an open-minded balance of Yin and Yang, and of femininity and masculinity, that transcends the conventional canvas.
Lisabel's work has been featured in over forty exhibitions worldwide and resides in more than 1,500 collections globally. Her collaborations span Lamborghini Canada, InterContinental Hotels, Steinway & Sons, and Bombardier, for whom she has served as Artist-in-Residence since 2010. She has garnered numerous international honors and maintains solo galleries in both Montreal and Madrid.
