LaShawnna Simon (she/her) is a digital artist based in Philadelphia, PA. LaShawnna has received her BA from Tyler School of Art at Temple University (2020). She has contributed work to the Free Library of Philadelphia, And Also Too, and the Ontario Child Advocate. Her work has been recognized by Afropunk, UHURU Magazine, the Philly Art Collective, as well as musicians like SZA, Lianne La Havas and Moses Sumney.

From the Artist... Also creating under the alias Shawnwitz, LaShawnna focuses on portraiture. She enjoys practicing traditional methods of painting and applying them using nontraditional media. Her work includes hints of whimsy as she strives to center subjects who are POC in the name of representation and visibility.
