Kyla Yager is a Toronto-based, New Orleans-bred artist. She earned her BFA from York University in 2018 and completed OCAD’s Fineline Business Accelerator in 2023. Her work intuitively portrays emotions through acrylic paint.

Since 2020, Kyla has held seven solo exhibitions, won awards in juried shows, exhibited in Nuit Blanche 2023, and won Art Battle Toronto in May 2024. She continues to compete in Art Battles internationally.

Kyla creates authentic compositions that capture her environment's energy, using hyper-detail and layering to shift perspectives. Through her "eyes of empathy," she empowers her audience by creating safe spaces to unmask emotions through fine art.
