Joe Winograd is a multimedia artist probing the boundaries of "handmade" digital art. His psychedelic GIF creations escape the browser, reappearing as holographic prints, sculptural installations, and collaged jewelry.

Winograd's practice is rooted in tension — merging high-tech processes with low-fidelity, handcrafted materials to challenge what qualifies as "Digital Art." His work spans performance, installation, and object-making, blurring the line between screen culture and physical craft.

Winograd holds an MFA in Digital+Media from Rhode Island School of Design and a BFA in Printmaking from Washington University in St. Louis. His work has been shown in galleries, museums, and festivals internationally, with collaborations including GIPHY, VICE Media, and Tumblr. An active educator, he has presented at Harvard University and co-created courses at RISD. Since 2016, he has also performed as Juggy — a mystical, bicycle-riding creature featured by Thrillist.
