D.rection is a multidisciplinary artist blending painting, sculpture, and textiles to chart the space between tradition and contemporary life — through the lens of identity, migration, and memory.

Based in Los Angeles with roots in India and film, D.rection's practice is shaped by the stories and metaphors her mother passed down — idioms that frame how she sees the world. Drawing on the nomadic Rabari women of Kutch, Gujarat, whose sacred bond with nature and rich oral traditions inform her visual language, she constructs layered, symbolic worlds that bridge East and West. Through ritual, symbols, and storytelling, her work becomes an act of preservation — holding ancestral knowledge in material form.
