From the Artist... As a painter I investigate the in-between, depicting mundane yet familiar urban landscapes. I distort space, light, and distance to create dreamlike environments, exploring themes of emptiness and aloneness, boundaries and belonging. I'm influenced by my nomadic past and inspired by Edward Hopper, Richard Diebenkorn and poet Maya Angelou.
