Ava Bock
Ava Bock is a multidisciplinary abstract artist whose work bridges photography, sculpture, drawing, and surface-based media to evoke light, structure, and atmospheric restraint.
Bock's practice is grounded in the tension between organic systems and constructed environments. Rather than documenting objects directly, she allows materials, shadows, surface shifts, and repetition to shape the final image—many of her photographic works emerging from sculptural processes. This fluid exchange between dimensional and image-based forms gives her work a meditative, quietly architectural quality suited to interior spaces.
With over two decades of creative practice, Bock holds an AFA in Visual Arts and Photography from Cape Fear Community College and a BFA in Sculpture from the University of North Carolina at Asheville. Her work is actively sought for contemporary interior environments, reflecting both her formal training and her sustained commitment to abstraction across multiple media.
