On the evening of May 14, 2026, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum on Fifth Avenue became something other than itself. The annual Young Collectors Council (YCC) Party, presented by LG Electronics, is one of New York's most anticipated art world gatherings — and this year carried special weight: a celebration of 30 Years of YCC. The Loupe Art team was honored to be among the guests, attending alongside the LG team and Loupe artist Mischelle Moy.

The Rotunda, Reimagined

The 2026 YCC Artist Collaborator, Diane Severin Nguyen, was tasked with reimagining one of the most iconic architectural interiors in the world. Working across photography, video, installation, and live performance, Nguyen's practice centers on transformation — capturing fleeting moments of transition and separating materials from their familiar contexts.

For the YCC Party, Nguyen delivered exactly that. Drawing on LG OLED technology, she transformed the Guggenheim's grand rotunda into an ephemeral dimension shaped by unseen forces. Guests looked up into a glowing blue skylight dome, the museum's spiral ramps culminated into an electric, otherworldly, and glowing atmosphere. The LG + Guggenheim Art x Tech Initiative branding ran the perimeter of the upper levels — a fitting frame for a night where the boundaries between art, architecture, and technology were deliberately blurred.

Below, an illuminated dance floor pulsed with energy. A live DJ set kept the night in motion.

The LG Installation: Design as Cultural Statement

One of the evening's most thoughtful moments happened on the lower level — and it was easy to miss if you weren't looking.

Thoughtfully arranged around the DJ stage, LG's PuriCare AeroTower air purifiers were present as both functional appliances and glowing sculptural pillars. Their warm, tapered forms caught the blue stage light and contributed to an artistic aura against the backdrop of the performance space. It was a deliberate creative choice: technology recontextualized as cultural object; the everyday elevated into something worth contemplating. It's a cue Loupe Art knows well.

An Evening with Mischelle Moy

We were especially glad to experience the night alongside Mischelle Moy, one of Loupe Art's celebrated artists. A Brooklyn-based visual artist known for vibrant, psychedelic, photo-manipulated landscapes, Mischelle's work carries a transportive quality similar to the tone of the event.

30 Years of YCC

The Young Collectors Council has spent decades building a community of young art professionals dedicated to acquiring works for the Guggenheim's permanent collection and supporting its education initiatives. This event was a momentous celebration commemorating 30 Years of YC at the Guggenheim New York powered by LG OLED. Three decades of cultivating the next generation of collectors, now powered by some of the most advanced display technologies in the world.

Grateful for a Partnership That Goes Beyond the Screen

There's something fitting about attending a night like the YCC Party as LG Electronics' partner. Loupe Art and Stingray are proud to serve as a content partner for various LG services including LG Gallery+ which connects original works by contemporary artists to LG TV audiences all over the world.  From the gallery to the living room, the mission is the same: art should be accessible, immersive, and part of how people experience their world. We're grateful to LG for championing that mission — and for an evening that showed what it looks like at its most spectacular.

A sincere thank you to LG Electronics for the invitation and for continuing to champion the intersection of art and technology in such a meaningful way.
