Bodhi Dashan

Bodhi Dashan is a contemporary multimedia artist who lives and works in the United States and Europe. Conjuring the graphic power of ancient symbols, rituals, and architectural space commonly used in pre-industrial civilizations, he strives to express a deep veneration for the power and brute physicality that exists at the intersection of Nature, Humans and the Cosmos.

Over the years his work has been shown in numerous galleries and exhibits. His three dimensional cast pieces have been exhibited in many private collections and in public gardens ranging from New York, to Amsterdam and Istanbul. The print pieces, encaustics and two dimensional oil pieces are also in many private collections in the US, Europe and East Asia.

From the Artist... Science defines the Laws of Nature such as gravity and electromagnetism, but the mystery and wonderment of such forces remain potent. In my exhibitions, I share paintings depicting icons such as sun signs, planets, comets and stone circles. Additionally, installations of cement castings that bring symbols into three dimensional space. Conjuring the graphic power of ancient symbols, rituals and architectural space commonly used in pre-industrial civilizations, I work to express a deep veneration for the power, beauty and the brute force of Nature.
